In 2 Corinthians 4:2, the Apostle Paul wrote, ‘…we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God.’

There you go… GDPR in the Bible.

I can tell you are not convinced. Okay, let me explain…

GDPR is wanting to instil respect, honesty and transparency in individuals, business and organisations as they collect, process and use our data is one that God has been encouraging his people to have for well over two thousand years (and beyond, if you look through Proverbs!).

The heart of GDPR is using people’s data respectfully and responsibly… and this bit of the Bible encourage us to act in this way no matter what we do. Whether we are processing data, selling products, or making Bible teaching videos, we are to do so in an open, honourable and plain fashion as we serve God in all that we do.

With that in mind, all of the trustees of Video Bible Talks are committed to doing this work in a way that means that we, alongside the Apostle Paul, can say ‘…we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.’

Oh, which is one of the reasons why our videos are available for free, by the way!

So, Video Bible Talks is GDPR compliant (well, as much as we can be as a non-profit with not much money!). You can view our Privacy Policy here, see what Privacy Tools are at your disposal… or just ignore the GDPR whirlwind and get on with your life like the rest of the world.
